In some cases the machinists will be located several thousand miles from your location and having a wide network in your club will make finding them much easier.
When you first begin restoring your car, finding car dealers in your area who sponsor car clubs will be beneficial. Many car dealers sponsor car clubs for individuals who have the same make and model of cars they have. These dealers often have access to rare or hard to get parts and are able to acquire them at an affordable rate.
In some cases the dealer will provide financial support when an individual is going to show a car in another city or town. The dealer will also have contacts for individuals within their dealership who have access to older and restored cars. In most cases, they will know an individual who has knowledge and expertise in your year and model of car.
